Cinnamon Roll Icing

This rich and silky icing combines nutty browned butter with warm coffee and vanilla for a deep, caramel-like flavor. Smooth and perfectly sweet, it melts beautifully over warm cinnamon rolls, adding a bakery-style finish.

Ingredients

• ¼ cup browned butter, warm
• 2 tablespoons hot coffee
• 2–3 tablespoons milk of choice
• Pinch of salt
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 4 cups powdered sugar

Instructions

1. BROWNED BUTTER: Place butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir every 30 seconds as it melts and begins to foam. Continue cooking until it turns a rich golden brown and releases a nutty aroma, about 2–3 minutes. Remove from heat, pour into a metal mixing bowl, and let cool for 15 min.
2. Add hot coffee, milk, salt, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar to the bowl.
3. Whisk until smooth and fully combined.
4. Use immediately, or store covered in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
