Mix well.Add grated cold butter and incorporate into the flour mixture until coarse crumbs form.Stir in buttermilk, egg, vanilla, and chopped apples. Mix until combined.Transfer the dough onto a parchment-lined baking sheet and shape into an 8–10 inch circle.Slice the circle into 8 wedges like a pizza and slightly separate them on the pan.Bake for 30–35 minutes, until golden brown.
